LACMP was started by the Metzler Violin Shop to provide a place for adult musicians (particularly string players)  to play in small musical ensembles. This is a group for musicians at every level of expertise, including beginners.

We meet up to attend classical music concerts at Caltech, many of which are free. You can find many listed at http://events.caltech.edu/ We are not necessarily students or alumni (or alumnae) -- we are also appreciative neighbors and Pasadena residents. Come join us! This group is for those who are interested in going to classical music concerts in Downtown LA, and who would like to meet fellow classical music lovers in the process. The emphasis will be on the LA Philharmonic and LA Opera, but we will also keep you informed about events in Downtown LA and the general vicinity (such as concerts at the Colburn School and the USC Thornton School).
